Chris Giguere

Founding Director

Never wanting to do anything else but work with young children, I graduated from Bridgewater State College in 1980 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. For the next 5 years I worked at the Children's Center of Lexington, which at that time was the only full day childcare center in town. When their waiting list topped 100, I set my sites on opening the second childcare center in Lexington. My goal was to create a warm, welcoming and enriching environment for children and families. I had no idea that LPC would also turn into such a wonderful work place for teachers. I am so proud of all of us (both present and alumni teachers) for the highly professional, yet relaxed, fun and creative environment that we have created together. I live with my beautiful, talented daughter, Lena, who I adopted as a 5 month old in 1996 from Wuhan, China and our sweet little spaniel, Pixie.

Cheryl Simons

Administrative Assistant

I graduated from Fisher Junior College in 1989 with an Associate's Degree in Legal Secretarial. After working for four years in a software sales office, I decided that the high tech world was not for me. I started working at LPC in September 1993. Since then, I've gotten married to a terrific guy, Bill, and had two adorable children, Taylor and Cameron (both LPC alums). I love my job, but I stay at LPC because of the wonderful people I work with. What a treat to come to work each day and know that you are with people who truly care about what they do.
