Robin Damon

Preschool Lead Teacher

I joined the LPC community in August 1986 with my almost three-year-old daughter, Shawna in tow. Twenty years later we are both working here. I never left, and Shawna, a recent college graduate, joined LPC in August 2006 as the float teacher. LPC is truly a comfortable family place. I graduated from the University of Maine cum laude with a Degree in Education. I have taught children for nearly thirty years. My particular passion is promoting literacy in early childhood education. I love children's literature! In my personal life, I enjoy reading whenever possible. I love dogs, especially golden retrievers. When I can get away, I visit family on the coast of Maine where I grew up. I have been married to Paul for thirty years, live in Concord, have two daughters, Andrea and Shawna, and a golden retriever named Annie.

Erin MacLean

Preschool Lead Teacher

I started working at LPC in the summer of 1998 after graduating from Framingham Start College. I did half of my student teaching here and was thrilled when Chris offered me a job. I’ve taught in both preschool and toddler classrooms. Through my years at LPC, I married my high school sweetheart, Mike, and had three children, Jillian, Matthew and Anthony. What keeps me here? How many jobs do you get 24+ hugs a day? It’s the best job in the world!

Katy Gardner

Preschool Lead Teacher

LPC has been my home off and on for over ten years. I started out as a summer assistant in college, where I obtained a Bachelor's Degree in education with an early childhood concentration. After college I did what every New Englander dreams of at least once - I moved to sunny California! I moved back after four years teaching public school Kindergarten. I'm also a nationally certified massage therapist and am currently looking at Master's Degree programs. I also enjoy yoga, cooking, reading, and watching the Red Sox!

Cate Fleming

Preschool Lead Teacher

I have been at LPC since February 1987. I began my tenure here after completing my undergraduate degree in Computer Science. I worked part-time here as I earned a Master's Degree in Education from Lesley College. I have a ten year old son, who is an LPC alumnus and will sing the praises of LPC to anyone who will listen. I enjoy playing tennis and hiking. In addition, I teach aerobics classes at a local YMCA. I have discovered that figuring out and teaching young children is much more interesting and challenging than computers.

Nancy Kouchouk

Preschool Teacher

I bring love, humor, and an enchanted bag of puppets to the children in my class. My husband Wafik and I have raised two children in Egypt and Massachusetts. While working at an international school for five years, I acquired a global view, a passion for diversity, and a small white dog named Bella who followed us back to Lexington. I have been a teacher for nine years and a student my whole life.

Lisa Plotkin

Preschool Teacher

I was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia.  I graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Business from the University of Maryland in 2002.  I managed an architecture firm in Washington, DC for over a year, and then switched to teaching.  I spent two years teaching preschool at the Washington DC Jewish Community Center and then returned to my roots and family in Richmond where I taught second grade religious school for a year.  In 2007, I decided to spread my wings again and tried Boston.  I am thrilled to have been with Lexington Playcare Center since 2007 and am now pursuing my Masters degree in Early Education.  I look forward to each day working with wonderful teachers and incredible children.

Alicia Kapogiannatos

Preschool Teacher

I started at LPC in September 2007. I grew up in upstate New York and moved to Boston in 1995. I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Media Arts and Design from Northeastern University in 2000. I have worked as a graphic designer and desktop publisher in industries including publishing, public relations, and law firm marketing. My interest in early childhood education has led to my career change and inspired me to become a preschool teacher. Prior to LPC I worked as an assistant teacher in a preschool in the North End. I am excited to be a part of the LPC community!

Stephanie Phelan

Preschool Teacher (started at LPC in June of 2008)

Working at LPC has been an experience like no other! How can you compete with a day filled with smiles, hugs and laughs? Every day is fun-filled and completely different from the day before. I’ve lived in Lexington for most of my life so it’s great to be able to have such a wonderful job so close to home!
